Busy schedule? Lose weight when you’re tight on time and spends

busy schedule, lose weight

It’s 2019. Everyone is busy.

I get it, you’ve got family, friends and work to balance and fitting in the gym is proving hard.

You’re not alone, people seem to lead busier lives and by the end of the day it can seem like the only thing you’re capable of doing is collapsing in front of Netflix to watch What If or Power.

I’m guessing that as you’re reading this article though, you’re ready to jump off that sofa and ditch the popcorn to lose weight.

How do you lose weight on a busy schedule and tight budget?

When it comes to losing weight you have a fair few options to help you along your way.

Working out at home

A lot of people I speak to who are looking to lose weight are worried about going to the gym, they don’t want to be stared at and they don’t want to feel pressure from others. The truth is anybody with that bad an attitude is usually looking at themselves in the mirror constantly so don’t worry, they won’t be judging you.

If you’re not quite ready to make that leap though, there is plenty you can get started with at home to lose weight. It also cuts down on the time spent travelling to the gym and means you don’t have to leave your family whilst you’re working out.

Whatever your starting point, the following exercises require no equipment and little space:

  • Burpees
  • Jumping Lunges
  • Push-Ups

Join the gym

Most people don’t think they can fit the gym into their daily routine.

But with some simple changes (getting up an hour earlier, joining a gym near your workplace or taking your kids with you to the pool) everyone can find the time to fit in a 20-30 minute high intensity workout.

You don’t need to be in the gym constantly, start small with something you know you’re able to commit to – 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes for example. As you start to feel the benefits with increased energy and mood, you’ll soon want to increase the time you’re spending in the gym.

Most gyms offer affordable packages, you can join a PureGym from £14.99 a month. Not a huge expense if you’re serious about losing weight.

Online coaching: Personal training when you’re on a budget

If you’re just starting out, the chances are you won’t know where to start when it comes to losing weight. If you’re starting out at home you can get begin with some of the exercises above and add some of these body fat busting exercises into the mix when you’re feeling more confident.

If you’re on a tight budget but wondering how on earth you lose that body fat you want to get rid of, then an online coaching programme might be a good idea.

You’ll get a personalised training plan based on where you’re starting and what you want to achieve with your weight loss. You’ll receive a personalised nutritional plan based around healthy alternatives to the foods you already like. All brought together with the support from a personal trainer, keeping you on track and accountable to your weight loss goals.

Anyone can get fit

Although it might be a little harder for you to commit to losing weight if you’re extremely busy and on a tight budget, it’s not impossible and people just like you are making the decision to make changes that give them more energy and confidence.

If you’re just starting out, give some fat burning home exercises a go. If you’re ready to make the jump, join a gym and buddy up with a friend who wants to get fit too. If you’re ready to take it to the next level and smash your fat loss goals – it might be time to consider online training.
